Feature and Follow (2)

Feature and Follow is a weekly feature hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

The goal is to make new friends in the book blogging community and increase followers.

Question of the week:

How do you organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads,Leafmarks or Booklikes. – Unconventional Book Views

Well funny that - On my home bookshelf, I have them in alphabetical order by the author but then I've run out of space so they're all over the place now. I use Goodreads a lot but there is no order to the chaos. I have a 1000+ books TBR. I'm up to suggestions though.

I need help with my book organization, what about you?

  6. I have quite a bit TBR on goodreads as well...so I like to keep it organized by genre and trope...so that when I am in the mood for something in particular I can just look it up and read the book I am yearning for.

  7. I used to have one shelf that was organized by author. That didn’t last long. I’d pull books off the shelf and not put them back in the right spots.

  8. I usually organize by author then alphabetically. On goodreads I have a couple shelves but it doesn't usually work out I forget to add books to it.

  9. I like to organise by alphabetical order too but my bookcase can't hold anything else (and it's not all in order thanks to having too many) so now my new books are just piled on my desk. I need a mini library! haha.

  11. I have my bookshelf organized by what I've read & all the series are together. I tried the rainbow thing & it made me crazy, like seriously itchy. I had to have all my series together. It looks cute though. I have goodreads & that's pretty organized as well. I have 2 kindles & my phone so that's organized by most recent.
As for organizing your goodreads, what I do is categorize them by genre, if I've read them & if I reviewed them. I hope this helps :)

  12. I had that problem before I moved! I had books organized by genre but then I had piles of them sitting around because I didn't have enough shelves for them. I've since moved and got a whole room for my books! :)

Maybe for your Goodreads you could separate your TBR into owned and to be bought books. That's how I do it!

  13. Great pics! I organize my home bookshelves first by series, they get their own shelves. They mine are separated by genre, then alphabetized by author, the by title :)
