Favorite September reads...need suggestions

I've read a few books this month and I've come to a point where I'm looking for the next best read. I was in a book slump and thankfully the following books pulled me out.

THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER by Michelle Hodkin - review

ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD by Kendare Blake - review

DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE by Laini Taylor - review will be up tomorrow.

I'm currently reading DAMAGE by Anya Parrish and it's a nonstop read. I'm almost finished with this book and now I'm looking for something different. I would love suggestions!

What are some of your favorite August or September reads?

  2. Thanks Juliet! I have about 40 pgs left to read in FORBIDDEN. I do have SHIFT & I was tempted to start reading this one next as a pleasure read.

If it's considered a pleasure read, 9/10 times, I won't review it. Typically if I enjoy a first in a series so much, I tend not to request the sequel for review. I just want to sit back and enjoy the book - no pressure. So, I just buy the book. Now if the book is just off the charts unforgettable, I will go ahead and review it.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed WILDEFIRE!

  4. My favorite read in August was Die for Me. I really enjoyed the paranormal creatures--the revenants--in that book. I had never even heard of them before and it was interesting learning about the mythology. For September, I loved Across the Universe, which is actually one of my favorites of 2011.

I'm reading Emily the Strange: The Lost Days right now and I'm loving it.
