My life had always been blissfully, wonderfully normal. But it only took one moment to change everything.
Suddenly, my sister, Georgia, and I were orphans. We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent.
Mysterious, sexy, and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart all over again. But I was ready to let it happen.
Of course, nothing is ever that easy. Because Vincent is no normal human. He has a terrifying destiny, one that puts his life at risk every day. He also has enemies . . . immortal, murderous enemies who are determined to destroy him and all of his kind.
While I'm fighting to piece together the remnants of my life, can I risk putting my heart—as well as my life and my family's—in jeopardy for a chance at love?
DIE FOR ME brings an excitingly fresh paranormal tale to an already saturated genre. The Paris setting spoke volumes in creating some perfect scenes throughout this book. This backdrop captured the beauty and mystery surrounding the supernatural elements in this book.
From the moment when Kate and Vincent locked eyes, I could feel a spark between the two characters. Through Kate's eyes, you could feel that there was something enticing about Vincent. I was highly surprised when Kate found out about Vincent's secret - I was way off base. But in any case, I was thrilled to find out more about him and his destiny as a Revenant. I enjoyed the secondary characters just as much, especially Jules. I loved the camaraderie of the Revenants and how well they worked together to achieve their destinies.
I think readers will be memorized with the setting and enticed by the fresh take on the paranormal elements in this book. DIE FOR ME is a captivating debut and I can only hope that the next installment delves deeper into this beautiful yet dangerous world.

ReplyDeletei just finished reading this book and....i was not impressed. The characters didn't seem real to me, mostly Kate, her reactions were weird to me. in one part of the book, She sees someone die a horrible death, and almost didn't react, she was like "he is fllirting w/ me!, and wow im at his house!, and wow cool house!" then after a few pages she FINALY starts being upset that the guy died! Also she was kinda annoying, everyother chapter she is "omg i love him, then i can't love him, i love him again, now i can't again" one thing i did love about this book is the idea of Revenants. The author kinda confused me on them a little when we got to hear more about them, but i would LOVE to read more books w/ this idea. I give this book 3 stars out of 5. I will probally get the next book from the library when it comes out.
