It's very hard to pick the most favorite read of 2009, but I think the one that stands out in my mind the most is The Sweet Scent of Blood by Suzanne McLeod (England) I bought it through the Book Depository, because -free shipping, and couldn't find it in the U.S.)
From your list of books, the one I'm most interested in reading is The Devil's Kiss. It just sounds cool, a female Knight Templar.

My favorite read of the year, that's a pretty hard one cause I just started reading in 2009 and read so many great books! I love Vampire Academy series by RIchelle Mead, Shifters series by Rachel Vincent and Fire by Kristin Cashore the most ^^
From this list I would pick.. The Van Allen Legacy by Melissa De La Cruz. I read the first 2 and have the 3rd at home, but haven't bought the 4th one yet.

Ooh tough call. Hmm...I really enjoyed Blood Promise by Richelle Mead, I had just started the VA series that year based on a recommendation and fell in love with the series! It was awesome and BP was amazing.
Non YA fave was possibly (since I have so many faves!): Destined For an Early Grave, I like Jeaniene Frost's books a lot, started them on a whim because a few of my other fave authors had comments on the book. Of course there are a string or a never-ending rope of others that I read and loved as well, but for the sake of following the contest rules, I figure I should have it narrowed down. ;)
