Memorable Moments Monday (2)

I’ve decided to pick out one of my favorite books every Monday and post the most memorable moments or quotes from the book. Feel free to post your favorite moments from the featured book.

This week’s feature will be: Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning

This is the first book in the Fever Series. Karen is one of my favorite authors and I’ve read all of her books. I’ve read each book in her Fever Series 3 times. (Yeah, I know I’m obsessed with these books) It’s amazing that this series has the 4th book coming out in August and I’m still stuck on the question Who/What is Jericho Barrons? Karen is Brilliant!

This book has so many good moments or quotes. I don’t want to spoil anything for readers who may be interested in giving this series a try. So I’m only going to mention one scene.

Scene: Fingernail painting

Paperback Pg. (333-335)

MacKayla: “Some guys,” I informed him loftily,” would jump at the chance to paint my toenails.”

Jericho: “I’m sure they would, Ms. Lane,” he said dryly.

MacKayla: “Okay, Barrons it’s time.”

Jericho: “I am not helping you shave your legs,” he said instantly.

MacKayla: “Oh please, As if I’d let you. I meant for questions.”

Jericho: “Oh.”

I love this description of how MacKayla describes Jericho when she first meets him. Pg. (43)

He didn’t just occupy space, he saturated it.

If a movie was made out of this series, this is what the characters would look like to me.

Antonio Cupo (Jericho Barrons)

Katie Cassidy (MacKayla Lane)

  2. I just finished the first 3 books. Once I started Darkfever I had to read the others thinking I was gonna find out what Barrons was.
    I can't wait for Dreamfever.

  3. I loved the first 2 books but number 3 felt like a place holder. Can't wait for number 4 though.
